A Green & Gold Affair

It's a Green and Gold Affair

I do not drink green things, really. Call me crazy, call me mad, maybe even a little strange but don’t call me to hand me a green drink  of mixed up green veggies. YUCKO! Every time I see something green and mushy, it reminds me of Linda Blair and the movie The Exorcist! I wasn’t just traumatized, this girl was totally ruined!

My husband on the other hand loves the green stuff in a glass and so do all of my friends. I wonder if they’ve seen the movie The Exorcist?

They boast and brag about how super delicious these juice smoothy are and even though I won’t drink them, I can positively say that they are really, really good for you. It’s liquid veggies, after all, so they’re packed with vitamins A through D and when it comes to your body, they’re great for balancing you out and they work to keep you on track. Juicing is also the first step to detoxifying your body and managing your weight.

Do you drink green mushed up vegetable drinks? Have you seen The Exorcist?

Ingredients:
2 to 3 Ice Cubes
1/2 ripe Gala Apple, cored & cut into chunks
1/2 small Orange, peeled & segmented
1/4 cup Collard Greens, roughly torn & packed (or use any mixed greens)
1/4 cup Water

Directions:
Place all of the ingredients in a blender (We use the Ninja Mega Kitchen System BL770) and blend until smooth. For a smoother drink, you may want to strain this juice but you’ll get more benefits by drinking it without straining first.
