The ChaLEAN Extreme fitness program didn’t get a lot of press but it’s fantastic! Anyone can do this and anyone that does will see results.
Fitness experts have been saying for years that creating lean muscle is the best way to burn fat and keep it off and that’s exactly what this program does.
Lean muscle creates a condition within your body that breeds a faster metabolism allowing your body to burn through calories a lot quicker which is nothing less than AWESOME for weight loss or maintaining weight loss.
The muscles you gain from this workout, or any strength training workout, will keep your metabolism running on high and it will stay that way, continually burning fat and who doesn’t want that, especially as we get older?
The workouts on the ChaLEAN Extreme program are 35 minutes long. The weight training portion is done three days a week and then there are two fun filled cardio days of interval training that will have your body burning lots and lots of calories.
The best thing about the workouts is that you’re not doing a ton of repetitions. This program is about hitting muscle failure doing fewer repetitions using the heaviest weight you can handle to reach that failure. It moves you at a slow pace using your muscles to lift the weights in a very controlled manner. It’s focused lifting, in 3 phases that will increase your strength with every workout, zeroing in on the each muscle group being targeted.
You challenge yourself on this program by changing the amount of weight that you use. Start off with a light weight as encouraged and as you build muscle and it gets easier, move up to a heavier weight.
There’s a unique twist on some of the workouts and that’s really refreshing. I know I loved it!
The only equipment you will need is a set of free weights or resistant bands. I prefer free weights myself but have used both and gotten great results.
If you’re just starting out and don’t already have a set of free weights, SelectTech adjustable weights are the weights used in the videos. You don’t have to use them, though. I didn’t, I actually found them to be a bit pricey. I used a set of free weights that I had on hand but curious I did do some research and found the Power Block adjustable weight set, which can be purchased on Amazon, for far less than the cost of the SelectTech adjustable weights. Powerblock contains two hand weights each adjusting from 6 to 24 lbs. and will work just as well.
There is also an eating plan included in this program, follow it to receive the best possible results, if you are not on an effective plan, eating for life, already. Weight loss starts in the kitchen first.
The biggest thing you will have to adjust to following this program is the change it will have on how your body LOOKS. You can’t expect a hard body without hard work, and this program is a great way to get there > definitely worth the money!
Your shoulders and back will be far more toned and your arms will be sculpted. Your quads and calves will be stronger and more defined. Your waist will be trimmer, your stomach flatter, and your butt > considerably rounder, firmer, and higher. Is there anyone out there that doesn’t want all that?
