Homemade Healthy Ketchup

Homemade Healthy Ketchup

This delicious ketchup recipe truly deserves a grander title with all its goodness and NO added sugar. When I started the paleo lifestyle, a  good tasting ketchup was one of the hardest things to find. Every recipe I tried left a funky after taste that my entire family disliked. I wanted the taste of store-bought without all the chemicals and additives and so after much experimentation, here it is, given two thumbs up from me and my fabulous group of taste testers.

Ingredients:
15 oz. Tomato Sauce
6 oz. Tomato Paste
4 Tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
2 tsp. Garlic Powder
1 tsp. Onion Powder
1/4 tsp. All Spice
1  1/2 tsp. Sea Salt (only add if Tomato sauce is salt free)
1 tsp. Paprika
1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
1/2 tsp. Dry Mustard
1/4 tsp. Chili Powder
1 Tbsp. Balsamic Vinegar
1 Tbsp. Coconut Aminos.
2 Tbsp. Honey

Pinch of Cloves

Directions:
  1. Add all  ingredients to a small sauce pan and cook to a simmer. Once it starts simmering, turned the burner down to low for 20 minutes and stir occasionally .
  2. Once done, pour the sauce into a jar and refrigerator overnight to further let the flavors blend before using.
  3. Enjoy!
