Identity

This is an incredible reblog, posted on August 23, 2013♦.

This is truer than true so for anyone struggling with their identity. If you find yourself in this place emotionally, I want to encourage you to visit Amanda Lannon’s site and read the full post. Her testimony is so powerful and very much comes from the heart.

Do not allow anyone to tell you who you are…do not believe the lies or self opinionated garbage people love to put on other’s. Look to Christ and know you are loved, unconditionally and you are so much more than you or anyone else thinks you are.

What people have said and done

In Christ, I am

A disappointment

Cherished

A failure

Valued and worthy

Rejected

Chosen

Unlovely

Perfect

Ugly

Beautiful

Hopeless

Hopeful

Orphaned

Belong to God

Victim

Protected

Unforgiven

Forgiven

Hated

Loved

Focus on God and not what comes from the heart of another person making you feel bad. Give it to God and let Him sort it out.

  1. WOW! I’ve seen the bell before, but I feel compelled to write posts on each of those promises about who we are in Christ. Kerri, you know how important helping people discover their true identity in Christ is. Thank you for sharing and God bless you Kerri, and Amanda for sharing.

      1. Sometimes my replies to you may seem silly and meaningless. I like to respond to each notification and comment I get. I love to see all those arrows next to the notifications people send to let ME know I’ve responded. I realize that may seem anal retentive to some. I mean, when the reply is “You’re welcome” or simply a smile, it may seem pointless to reply, but I’m all about those arrows next to the notifications. Silly, but that’s me.

Why hello, friend! Thanks for sharing your comments. Should you have a question, please feel free to ask it here and I'll do my best to reply promptly. Thanks for stopping by! xo Kerri
