This gorgeous piece is a 75 year old cabinet that I’ve just redone. The character is impeccable.
I removed the old hardware, used Bondo to fill in holes and rebuild broken corners and edges and then I sanded and shaped those areas. I also caulked where needed, and added new hardware and my Mr. Wonderful built a shelf for the inside.
Then I used a custom mix of Annie Sloan chalk paints, French Linen & Olive for the body and Old White for the top, I followed that with a coat of clear wax and then I went heavy on the dark wax to really pull out the underlying character in this piece.
It’s simply gorgeous! So many ideas for using this……..
