Crockpot Turkey Chili

This is the very first Paleo dish that made and after tasting it I remember thinking if Paleo eating tastes this good, then this way of life in eating will not be a problem for anyone looking to better their health. Serves 6.

INGREDIENTS:
1 ½ lbs. ground Turkey
2 Tbsp. Ghee
1 Onion, chopped
1 Green Bell Pepper, chopped
1 Red Bell Pepper, chopped
1 Orange Bell Pepper, chopped
2 tsp. Chili powder
1tsp. Coriander
½ tsp. Cumin
1 tsp. dried Oregano
½ tsp. Chili Pepper flakes
½ tsp. Cayenne Pepper
½ tsp. Paprika
2 Tbsp. Tomato Paste
¼ of a Jalapeno Pepper, chopped (use a whole pepper for more heat)
2 cups Tomatoes, chopped
2 cups Beef Broth
Salt and pepper just before serving

DIRECTIONS:
1. Melt 1 tablespoon of ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat and sauté the onions and all the peppers except the jalapenos, for about 5 minutes until translucent.
2. Add the turkey, chili powder, coriander, cumin, oregano, pepper flakes, cayenne, paprika and tomato paste, cook until the ground turkey is browned, about 8 minutes, and transfer to the slow cooker.
3. Add the jalapenos, tomatoes and beef broth to the slow cooker, and cook on low for 6 hours.
4. Salt and pepper to taste, then serve.
