The Content of Your Character?

www.kerrichronicles.com

This is so very true. As children, learning, we have poor judgement and therefore make mistakes, but we are to learn right from wrong in those mistakes, take responsibility for ourselves and mature. In this, our repeated actions, are what shape our character. They write on our slate and define who we are to everyone around us. We either choose to do right or we choose to do wrong.

You can say anything about yourself, just as others can say anything about you but it’s not what you say or what others say, it’s what you do. “Your actions” that show everyone who you are. Continue reading The Content of Your Character?

Grandparent Rights? No!

grandparents rights

There are a group of people who are currently lobbying for grandparent rights. Visitation rights, specifically.

They claimed June 14th as ‘their’ day.

Flag Day, in the US, has now been co-opted by folks who have their own agenda, and frankly, it’s a frightening one.

HIDDEN AMONGST THE RUBBLE

Hidden Amongst the RubbleMany years ago, I met this guy named Alan. He was everything I’d ever dreamed a man to be.

Self-Control

Self-Control

Love this poem written by Mind’s Seat. Check out their site, you’ll find lots of interesting reads there.

Self-Control
I’m shaking at the prospect
Of trying to deny
My need of certain gimmicks
To make my time pass by
I gaze at sites like E-Bay
Perusing all they’ve got
if I had my fleshly way
I’d go and buy the lot.
Self control is difficult
It’s something I should learn
Just to live within my means
My money not to burn
Store your treasure up above
A cheerful giver be
Peace will reign inside your heart
Just you wait and see.
