You are not forever broken

WHAT YOU SUFFERED WAS BARBARIC.
YOU CAN ABSOLUTELY MOVE FORWARD, FEEL WHOLE, AND BE CONSCIOULSY CONNECTED TO YOUR AUTHENTIC SELF. THERE IS A WHOLE NEW YOU WANTING DESPRERATELY TO BE DISCOVERED.

Childhood sexual abuse and trauma is becoming more and more apart of cultural conversation today. It’s no longer being swept under the rug. Survivors are turning the dial by speaking out. The #metoo movement has further opened doors exposing the darkness of all forms of rape and sexual violence. The attitude of society is starting to change. Victim shaming is becoming a thing of the past. Better laws are being put in place. Perpetrators are being held accountable. A shift is slowly happening.

Wouldn’t you like to feel a shift for yourself? In yourself? Wouldn’t you like to feel grounded, to trust yourself -your gut, your own instincts? Wouldn’t you like to let go of your shame, self -blame, and the internal conflict? Wouldn’t you like to feel in control?

  • If you don’t understand your own mind or often feel confused…
  • If you’ve been barely holding on, feeling as if you'll never be enough…
  • If you often feel misunderstood and unsure of how to properly express yourself…
  • If you’re at the top of your class or built a life, career, family, but still feel like a total fake or failure…
  • You are painfully aware of the auto-pilot, dysfunctional habits that keep you stuck...
  • If you’re disassociated from your own self, your own identity, and feel as if your body is merely a vehicle for your unsettled soul…
  • If loving yourself doesn’t seem possible…
  • If you fear rejection, can’t seem to say no or intimacy is disconnected...
  • If you desperately yearn for something more...

If this resonates deep within you... If you’ve felt powerless to control or prevent something from happening. If something intensely frightened you, deeply defiled your moral values; violated your welfare, rights and justice. If you were emotionally, physically, financially, spiritually or sexually abused. If you were molested or neglected. If what you experienced changed the way you walk in the world, your beliefs about yourself and others… You’ve suffered a trauma.

Losing what you consider to be an aspect of yourself is a trauma and ……..

I can help

Kerri Coaching exists to empower you. The programs offered were created because they are what I wish I’d had, what I so desperately needed when I was recovering from the trauma and sexual abuse I’d suffered in my own childhood.

I spent decades battling complex PTSD, chronic anxiety, and toxic shame, struggling to find the right therapeutic modality for me.

It was through my training as a Certified Professional Life and Trauma Recovery Coach that I came to understand the impact that developmental trauma and ongoing childhood trauma has on the nervous system. My work in both these coaching realms provided me with the tools and techniques I needed all those years ago, to heal, as I battled in the emotional aftermath of the abuse.

I can relate to and appreciate your struggles immediately. My purpose is to inspire you to evolve, connect, identify and discover your true authentic self; growing in all aspects of your life.

Using cutting edge methodology and my own personal and professional experience, I get down in the trenches with my clients. I see the world as they do, collectively collaborating, and setting goals. We will authentically uncover the power of you, your thoughts, your words, and your voice. Because You Matter. Your Truth Matters. Your Life Matters. Your Happiness Matters.

Though trauma may be our foundation, it does not have to be our future. You get to choose who you want to be, and how you want to walk in this world, and if you’d like, I can help you get there.

TRAUMA IS A FEELING, NOT A LANGUAGE. IT'S A BLANKET THAT COVERS THE SOUL.

I would not have had the strength to fully tell my story if I'd not had others to support me.

Faith·Religion·God -> MOVING THE MOUNTAIN FROM THERE TO HERE

I didn’t grow up in church. After disclosing the sexual abuse I was suffering at the tender age of four, the Bible and Jesus were introduced to me. I felt ashamed for having been abused and for having allowed it to happen.

I never knew about prayer. I was never told about it nor shown how, but always felt there was something so much bigger in this world that could save me.

The abuse in my home continued and by the age of ten I hated God, but I was always praying to that something bigger trying to find just a little bit of meaning to my life.

These little prayers – that mustard seed of faith – saved me and brought me to today - to You.

Today I help other survivors move their mountain.

I believe in God. I believe daily spiritual practice is nourishment for the soul. I believe Biblical study is a living source of wisdom. I believe that in suffering, saving, and surviving we are all spiritually connected. And I believe we are all teachers and we are all students.

Am I disappointed in my childhood? Absolutely.
Do I feel let down by my family? You bet.
Do I feel sacrificed by the abuse? I do.
Will I ever understand it all?  No. Never.

What I do know without question, though, is that the trauma I suffered did not destroy my faith, it redefined it, making it very clear.

But don't I need counseling?

You might. If the trauma you suffered is new, a therapist or counselor is often your best bet; providing a safe place to make sense of the story. Sorting out the pieces of what happened in your mind is very much a necessary step.

But then there comes a time when telling yourself your story starts to hold you back. The habits you created to survive no longer serve you well. They stunt your personal growth and wellbeing. New neuro pathways need to be created; pathways that will open up the world to you, not close it down. Pathways enabling you to thrive.

With me as your coach, we’ll work together to build a solid foundation, gently healing your open wounds. We’ll integrate the story you’ve been telling yourself into a part of your life that’s the past, not the whole of your life; using it as a catalyst to build a life you truly love.

I work with the conscious, and unconscious energy levels, harmonizing into the cells of the body leaving you empowered and at peace. Most importantly, you’ll let go of all that is holding you back, moving past what the past holds, into a bright future for you.

“Working with Kerri as my coach was an absolutely excellent experience. Immediately in our first session, the way she interacted with me made me feel capable, respected and well-heard. How she treated every session with structure and flexibility, her frank way of asking deep questions and presenting helpful insights - always only with my consent -, and her generous and loving attitude towards me throughout ALL of our sessions left me feeling more seen, strong, and well than I have felt working with any other coach. I HIGHLY recommend Kerri and consider her a trusted mentor, whom I have to thank for so much of the peace that I now experience around my identity and career. If you have the great fortune of the opportunity to work with her - DO IT!!!”

Rachel Kent, New York

“I am Kerri's coach, but after every session with her, I become more inspired, empowered, and encouraged to keep pushing and achieving what I want in life. I feel more energized and happy because she exudes the kind of energy that heals, that builds. I see strength; I see power, I see intelligence, I see Her and always think of how she is a blessing to those who choose to work with her for trauma recovery and other issues they have in life. If you are looking for someone who sees you as you are regardless of your history, background, and understands your pain. Kerri is the coach you've been looking to help you, so do not be a hostage of your past. Reach out to her.”

Horia Patience Prossaird, France | Executive Coach

“Coach Kerri has been an excellent partner in my journey to wellness. I have attempted many times at physical health through exercise and nutrition. Coach Kerri’s approach in providing a safe space for me to explore the root cause of my failed attempts at weight loss and an exercise program have been more than instrumental in my “new” attitude towards a healthy me. I highly recommend her down to earth approach for anyone seeking to improve their lifestyle.”

Marilyn Jacobs, New Jersey | Executive Coach

“Kerri is a natural listener, who has the ability to quietly comment in the most direct way.  She is outspoken and revealing in her communication, but reverent to my story, providing clarity of action out of a blurred past.  I was so surprised…and grateful.”

Susan Guthrie, Alabama | Director

“When identifying a single phrase to describe my experience with Kerri, my mind inevitably concludes that she is “a blessing in disguise.” With all the mental stressors I found myself left with coming out of a toxic environment, Kerri was the perfect psychological reinforcement with her optimistic vitality and consistent support. Her help is tailored to my personal aspirations. She gave me one-on-one coaching I am confident cannot be found elsewhere. She has provided me with the needed resources, tactics, and guidance to help me build a better me. She has perfected her ability to form interpersonal connections with her clients, making them feel like her friend and constantly keeps them in mind. Working with Kerri has provided me with an irrevocable amount of healing, and an increased knowledge on how to situate myself in a life I truly aspire for.”

Kendra R., Alabama | Veterinary Technician
